So today is International Women's Day. I decided to do a little bit of research and found this:
Who can support International Women's Day?
International Women's Day is not a country, group, nor organization specific. No one government, NGO, charity, corporation, academic institution, women's network, or media hub is solely responsible for International Women's Day. The day belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. Gloria Steinem, world-renowned feminist, journalist, and activist, once explained, "The story of women's struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist, nor any one organization, but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights." Make International Women's Day your day and do what you can to truly make a positive difference for women. IWD: About International Women's Day
Following on the words above. This is my personal view who has inspired and supported me through my journey over the last two years.
As you know, I have suffered from my Mental Health over the last two years. With Helen, my therapist, and Dr. White, my GP, I started to rebuild my life. Their support, patience, compassion, and empathy have helped me do the hard work to enable my recovery. Recovery is not a straight line as I had a blip a few weeks ago, which is now passing. With their support, I know I can get through my blips.
My Support Network includes these amazing people who have been my rock. Even though they have their everyday lives to contend with, they have been there to listen to me, telling me I am loved, and it's okay not to be okay; I am doing amazing. Taken me out when needed (when we were allowed. Which you need to hear through the good days and bad days. Here is a shout-out to these amazing people, Ang my sister, Lesley, and Tanveer at work, my aunty lyn, Jane, Mandy, and Margaret, many more who know who they are in my support network. Sorry if I haven't named you, but I would be here all day 😊.
Without all of their support, I wouldn't start this incredible journey with my photography and writing my blog.
This leads me to the women who have inspired me in the Photography world.
Fiona Turnball at Lacock Photography.

(she does a lot for her students, this day was action photography on beginners part 2 workshop, and I kept laughing, so she had to run quite a few times, it was a fun day)
From the first workshop (which I didn't think I would get there. because of my anxiety, but glad I managed to get there), Fiona was so engaging, passionate, supportive, and helpful, as I didn't even know how to set my camera up, which she helped with.
From learning the basics and going out with my camera, and her guidance on how to see things creatively to capture. As you can see, I am now hooked; as I did two more workshops with Fiona, she is now an amazing friend, which led her to invite me to the members club, an awesome community. I am looking forward to our 1-2-1 photoshoot in April to continue learning and improving my photography. I hope one day I will take some amazing photos as Fiona does. Her Birds photos are out of this world and really inspiring, which has inspired me to try and capture birds; I am aiming to attend the Wildlife workshop with her when it's up and running.
If you are interested in attending workshops or would love to learn about photography - see www.lacockphotography.com.
To finish International Woman's Day, I have captured some photos during my photography journey of women.
