Exploring in and around Romsey

While on my long weekend away, My Sister, Niece and I decided to explore somewhere different, where we had never been before.

We decided on Saturday to go to Winchester. Winchester is a lovely town with quirky shops and lots of history. I want to go back and spend a day looking at the historic sites and seeing inside Winchester Cathedral.

Sunday we went to Marwell Zoo, which I recommend. Fascinating animals and plenty of space. In the afternoon, we went to explore Southampton. The old town was stunning, and the shopping centre was good, which we may go back and do our Christmas shopping there.

I didn't take many photos of Southampton as it started raining.

Monday was our last holiday day, so we had to go to the New Forest searching for the ponies, donkeys and the cows, which didn't disappoint.

I also managed to take my first photo of a toadstool.

After the New Forest, we drove back to Romsey to explore as we were staying in Romsey; it was only fitting to explore the town.

I will be going back again. I hope to go back to these places in the future to explore more. It was a lovely end to our holiday.
